When I first embarked on my food as medicine journey, it was ANYTHING but simple.
While I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, I just could NOT find a plan that would stick.
I felt like I had to either deprive myself of the foods I loved, cook for hours and hours and hours (and hours) in the kitchen, or spend a fortune on organic goji berries -- and STILL couldn't meet my health goals.

What is prediabetes and Why is it a health concern?
Prediabetes is a condition where blood sugar levels are higher than normal but not high enough yet to be diagnosed as type 2 diabetes.
It's a critical health issue that affects millions worldwide, often without any visible symptoms.
- Over 1 in 10 Americans have diabetes, 1 out of 3 have prediabetes, 3/4 are overweight or obese, and metabolic diseases are rising among kids.
- Key drivers include overnutrition, inactivity, lack of sleep, stress, pollution, processed foods, and inadequate health policies.
- Individual solutions involve dietary changes, exercise, sleep, stress relief, and lifestyle habits.
- 5% - 7% weight loss can help reverse prebiabetes.
